The ‘Blue Valleys’ initiative is a direct outcome of the joint Comprehensive Strategic Agenda agreed upon between the EU and India at their Summit in January 2026. This agenda aims to broaden, deepen, and better coordinate EU-India cooperation across various pillars, including prosperity and sustainability, technology and innovation, security and defence, and connectivity.
India and the EU have a long-standing relationship, with diplomatic ties established in 1962.
