The Assam Cabinet has approved a two per cent Dearness Allowance hike for state employees, introduced career advancement for Grade-IV school staff, and announced the resumption of key welfare schemes from August 1, 2026.
The Assam Government has officially notified a two per cent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for over eight lakh state government employees and pensioners, raising the rate from 58 per cent to 60 per cent. The revised rates will be paid with the June 2026 salary and pension, disbursed in July 2026.
