Assam Eases Police Verification for Government Jobs
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a major change in the police verification process for government jobs, allowing candidates to join with a notarised affidavit while verification is pending. The verification process will now be time-bound, with records deemed cleared if not completed within six months.
