Assam Cabinet Amends Land Policy, Mandates Three-Generation Residency
The Assam Cabinet has approved a key amendment to the state’s Land Policy 2019, requiring families to reside for at least three generations to be recognised as ‘landless persons’ for government land allotment. Pre-1971 refugees are exempt with valid documentation.
