The Assam government is set to launch the Yuva Shakti Bharosa Card Yojana 2026, offering a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs. 3,000 to educated unemployed youth for competitive exam preparation and basic needs.
The Assam Higher Education Department has made Aadhaar numbers and Aadhaar-linked bank accounts mandatory for students to avail benefits under various government welfare schemes, including the Fee Waiver Scheme and Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina/Babu Aasoni. Universities and colleges are directed to ensure accurate Aadhaar details are uploaded and updated on the SAMARTH portal.
